My Little Tapas Bar

Heyos! I haven't been posting for a short while because of my final year projects and London reccy and such, so I apologise. But anyways, I am back and here is a little short post and some iPhone snaps from food tasting! Looking for a new bar to chill in? Give it a try at My Little Tapas Bar for a little Spanish experience!

(Source: my little tapas bar)

42 Club Street, Singapore 069420

Tel: (65) 6223 8048

Dinner - 5.00pm to 12am (Mondays to Sunday, including PH | Fridays up to 2am)

These were what we had:

DIY Gin-toneria

You get to customise your own Gin-toneria, picking 1 gin and up to 3 botanicals.
Mine was London No. 1(gin), Ginger, Lemongrass and Cinnamon:

$18++ (if you choose the regular gin)
$24++ (if you choose the premium gin)

It tasted refreshing and it's pretty fun to play around with different botanicals for all you self-proclaimed mixologists, and those who want to try something special apart from your usuals.

Jenny was explaining the Bar's concept, together with their 2 Spanish chefs,
Edward Esmero and Maria Sevillano.

Tabla (Platter):

Maria was slicing the Jamon Serrano (Spanish cured ham) - $7 on the spot for us!
I later learnt how to slice the ham too.

Right: Croquetas de Jamon - $10 (Lightly fried jamon-stuffed creamy croquettes with alioli)

Left: Chorizo a la Plancha - $14 (Fresh grilled chorizo with caramelised onions and manchego cheese) Personal Favourite!

Right: Gambas Picantes - $14
(Fresh shrimp cooked on a dish of boiling olive oil with garlic, chill and smoked paprika)

Left: Sardinas en escabeche - $14
(Homemade sardines cooked in vinegar, olive oil and smoke paprika, serve on toast bread, and pepper puree)

Right: Patatas Bravas - $10 (Feisty fried potatoes with devil's alioli) Personal Favourite!

Left: Albondigas - $12 (Homemade beef and pork meatballs in rich tomato-based sauce)

Sangria Tinta (Red) - $12

Tarta de Chocolate - $12
(3 layers chocolate tart with ice cream - Chef Edward has won an award with this.)

Yes and this is my attempt at slicing Jamon Serrano.
It is harder than it seems...

Not to mention, every Wednesday is Ladies' Night - so Ladies, you are all entitled to a free Sangria for any order!

My Little Tapas Bar:

Also, if you use The Entertainer App here, you get two tapas free when you order two tapas!
(I have previously blogged about The Entertainer App too!)

ENJOY!

JBL Earphones Review + Giveaway!

Hello! I just received my JBL Synchros Reflect BT workout earphones and I am going to review it. Also, I will be doing a giveaway, so that you can win yourself a set of JBL workout earphones too! So do read on for the contest details!

JBL Synchros Reflect BT Workout Earphones

The earphones came in a professionally packed box that protected them. I am actually very particular about packaging. As superficial as it sounds, you can pretty much judge the quality of the earphones from small little details like the quality of the sticker seal, well, most of the time.

The set came with ear tips of 3 different sizes - S,M, L, like most earphones, but this particular model comes with ergonomics ear tips by FreeBit. They are really comfortable and provide a secure fit. This solves your problem of having earphones falling out during your intense workout.

I have always wanted workout earphones and I must say that these JBLs are pretty commendable. They are wireless and works with a simple and easy bluetooth connection. They are also sweat proof so you really don't have to worry about spoiling them. The strap is adjustable and the cable is a reflective surface for safety purposes.

My favourite aspect of these JBLs is that the sound quality is amazing. For those of you who are very particular about sound quality, you would be pleased to know that the bass of the music could be heard clearly even with the EQ setting of my phone (iPhone5s) completely off. Every instrumental aspect of a song could be defined even at a low volume of only 3 blocks. I think this is also because the ear tips effectively blocks out the noise outside. And of course, there is a noise reduction. This is a bonus because honestly, we should listen to music at a lower volume (adjustable) to train the sensitivity of our hearing, we should not blast the music because sooner or later we will get desensitised to the sound and even the loudest volume would be too soft, putting yourself at the risk of damaged hearing. I am not sure if it is just me or that there is also a sense of surround sound effect.

Giveaway!

Bellabox Review (March)

Hi guys! I received my bellabox and I am going to share what is inside the box!

Bellabox is basically a box with samples of up and coming, new cosmetic and lifestyle brands. Mine was the March Bellabox, I apologise for the late review, but here it is!

The March Bellabox consists of the following:

Benefit Cosmetic Roller Lash

The PPP Shop Post-Laser Facial Mask

Asience Inner Rich Shampoo & Conditioner

Bioderma Hydrabio Serum

Daylong SPF 50+ Sunscreen Duo

Naturvital Sensitive Oily Hair Shampoo

Bonus: Tealy Spring Green Tea & Darlie All Shiny White Multi-care Toothpaste

There are also little coupons for you to purchase the items in their participating retail stores and I also got a card that entitles me to 3 complementary facials at The PPP Shop!

I personally feel that the box is pretty worth it for its price if you are the kind of person who likes to explore new products and brands. It is also a safe way to trial and test the cosmetics and products that you really like before assuringly purchasing them. My personal favorites are the Benefit Roller Lash,
Complimentary Facials and Sunscreen! Talking about sunscreens, it is really important to find a good brand for your skin type and apply sunscreen daily, 15mins before you leave the house, whether you are going out to be indoors or outdoors. Sunscreens not only protect you from UV rays, it also moisturises your skin and can effectively slow down the visual signs of ageing. Do not listen to all those "getting-vitamin-D-from-natural-sunlight" imprudence. Our ozone layer is no longer the perfect condition it was created to be. Trust me, even with sunscreen, you will still receive Vitamin D. Start now, start young and get those with the highest SPF!

For more information on Bellabox, please visit: http://bellabox.sg/

Remember to hashtag your Bellabox pictures on Instagram with #bellaboxasia and stand to win attractive prizes! The March Bellabox is already sold out! But fret not, get the new April Bellabox!

Have fun!

Cheers,
Grace Ling
